Description Abydos has a 36-hour day and three moons. Abydos was the only planet to which ancient Egyptians traveled to from the years 8000 BC until 3000 BC. 5000 of their descendants live in proximity of the Stargate which was placed near a very large Naquadah reserve. The reserve is readily accessible via the Caves of Kalima. The 5000 decendants have maintained the technology of the bronze age in terms of technology due to the vast mineral wealth of the planet.
